What customers say?

“ Went with a Cantonese/Taiwanese friend and he confirmed that this place is indeed a super authentic Hong Kong cafe place! A rare find and an absolute treasure. Everything was great: the chicken feet, the homemade lemon tea which really helped cut through the spices and the meatiness, the dim sum, the beef stew. The mural is a great conversation piece and the longer you look, the more details do you see. ”

“ Great lunch today! We ordered the prawn dumplings and fried rice. Tasty and delicious. You can tell that the owners put a lot of effort in it! The owner came out and explained all the dishes on the menu. Great experience. Will come back again. Thank you! ”

“ Very authentic Hong Kong food. But the service is not very authentic because it's too good compared to restaurants in Hong Kong. ”

“ This place serves very authentic HK-style cuisine. Very value for money too. The boss speaks in HK-style Cantonese and is very friendly and helpful in recommending the dishes. He even asked whether we prefer the Char Siew to be slightly more lean or otherwise. Every dish that was served was piping hot, fragrant and delicious. ”

“ Highly recommended: Hong Kong Dai Pai Dong (Lan Kwai Fong) in Hongdae, Seoul This place is truly authentic. From the chef to the wait staff, everyone speaks Cantonese, and the vast majority of customers speak Cantonese too! It was packed during Mid-Autumn Festival, so if you come later, you might not be able to get any. We ordered soy sauce chicken, stir-fried pork slices with broccoli, stir-fried beef with pho, and Hong Kong-style milk tea. The first bite of the soy sauce chicken was, "OMG!" It was so tender and just as delicious as the ones I've had in Taiwan and Hong Kong! The other two dishes were also excellent. It's rare to find Chinese food of this quality in Korea. I think it beats the Tim Ho Wan and Din Tai Fung restaurants in Korea! A Hong Kong restaurant worth returning to time and time again~ Hong Kong Dai Pai Dong (홍콩대패당) 서울 마포구 양화로23길 10-8 2층 160m from Hongik University Station Exit 3 ”
